Adam Capozzi
Director of Career Services, Assessment and Student Success
Adam serves as the Director of Career Services, Assessment and Student Success, providing leadership and oversight to the central career office.
In this role, Adam oversees the development of strategic initiatives that improves the student experience, while building external partnerships to the University that create avenues for experiential learning and assists with continuing to improve overall retention rates. Additionally, Adam manages the relationships and tracks University outcome collections for the nine undergraduate schools/colleges as it relates to internships, employer visits, career fairs and overall career placement.
Prior to this appointment, Adam was the assistant director of the alumni career network for the central career office. Before joining the Division of the Student Experience, he spent four years at the Whitman School of Management, first in the Graduate Programs Office overseeing domestic student recruitment for full-time MBA and Masters programs, before transitioning to their career center to manage corporate development and employer relations.
Adam holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration and marketing from Keuka College, a certificate of advanced study in Project Management from Syracuse University, and a certificate of advanced study in Change Management from Cornell University.
Christopher J. Maldonado
Associate Director of Career Services
Christopher J. Maldonado serves as the associate director with Syracuse University Career Services, providing leadership and oversight to the office as it relates to campus career development technologies and student engagement.
Christopher oversees the Syracuse University career network’s efforts in support of each school/college units’ knowledge and usage of our various career systems available to students and career practitioners. Christopher earned a master’s degree in public administration (MPA) from Syracuse University’s Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs in December of 2021.
Christopher grew up between New York, New Jersey, and Florida, but their family is from Puerto Rico. Upon graduation from the State University of New York College of Environmental Science and Forestry (SUNY ESF) in 2016 with a bachelor’s degree in environmental biology, Christopher became a Syracuse resident and prefers to spend time as a plant parent and hiking, biking, or running when the weather is right.
Lisette Child
Assistant Director, Employer Relations
Lisette serves as the assistant director, employer relations with Syracuse University Career Services, providing leadership and oversight to the office as it relates to external campus relationships.
In this role, Lisette serves as the first point of contact for current and future constituents who seek to engage with Syracuse University undergraduate students for career-based opportunities, while engaging in inter-University conversations with the individual school/college career units on creating and expanding career pathways for dedicated student populations. Before Syracuse University, Lisette spent 13 years in the corporate technology event research, planning, and production space helping to develop engaged communities and collaborated with Fortune 500 companies across multiple industries.
When there’s free time, Lisette enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband, two children, and family dog. When not outside, she enjoys music (preferably live), dancing, yard sales, interior design and working on her many do-it-yourself (DIY) projects.

Employer Relations Specialist
In partnership with the assistant director of employer relations, Lindsay delivers high-quality services in the areas of employer development and fosters relationships with internal and external audiences on behalf of the Career Center to increase student awareness of career opportunities.
Lindsay brings over 10 years experience working in university career services and corporate talent aquisition to Syracuse University. She has worked directly with students, employers and other campus and community constituents.
Lindsay has moved around during her life, but has always called the Syracuse area home. She holds a master’s degree in Higher Education Administration from the University of Rochester and a bachelor’s degree in Communications from State University of New York College at Brockport. In her free time, you can find Lindsay spending time with her family and dog, preferably outside on a nearby lake or waterway. She is a music fan, loves friendly games of “Name That Tune” and is passionate about health and fitness. As a Certified Personal Trainer, Lindsay loves to help her clients achieve their goals.

Career Exploration Specialist
Kate provides career and academic counseling to undergraduate students and recent graduates, assisting them through various program options in the University. Additionally, Kate coordinates Syracuse University Career Services events and delivers personal development and career-related workshops.
A Central New Yorker, Kate has been with Syracuse University since March 2016 and most recently served as an inaugural development associate in Syracuse University’s Division of Advancement and External Affairs. Kate enjoys camping, gardening and all things Syracuse Athletics. She holds a bachelor’s degree in English Literature from Nazareth College.
Dan Pack
Career Exploration Specialist
Dan guides students with life and career counseling, advising and career/major exploration. Most recently, he worked with International students as an English Conversation Group facilitator with the Center for International Services and a conversation partner through the Graduate Student Organization.
As a non-traditional student, Dan has bachelor degrees in English, Textual Studies and Psychology, and a master’s degree in Student Affairs Counseling all from Syracuse University. He is a lifelong Syracuse University sports fan and an avid follower of Syracuse University football, basketball and women’s lacrosse.
Erin Smith
Internship Program Coordinator
Erin oversees the Career Services Clements Internship Awards and the Internship Funding Awards. These opportunities provide financial assistance to those undertaking unique endeavors in career exploration. He also serves as a liaison connecting the University’s individual academic programs to the Central Career Services hub, to improve communication and collaboration.
Erin hails from Detroit, Michigan, and has been a Syracuse resident since graduating from Syracuse University in 2015, receiving a bachelor’s degree in Physics.
Isabella Csemez
Administrative Specialist
As the administrative specialist for Syracuse University Career Services, Isabella oversees the department budget, prepares and manages purchase requisitions, trains and manages student employees, assists and oversees administrative duties related to yearly programs, and coordinates department and working groups meetings.
In her spare time you can find Isabella skiing, reading, watching history documentaries, tending to her plants, or spending time with friends and family.
