Employer Handshake Accounts
- If you do not have an existing account, please create an Employer Handshake account by following the Accessing Handshake (Employers) instructions.
- Ensure all employer account requirements are completed.
- Request approval with Syracuse University.
- Employers will receive a Handshake notification once approved.
Requirements
- Account information is accurate (e.g. email domain must match company website domain).
- Must reflect connection to Syracuse University majors, schools, colleges and accreditation. Details are available on the Find a Program webpage.
- Must not be a duplicate Employer account. If your company has multiple locations, departments or divisions, please use a single profile whenever possible. For more support, see How to Add Divisions to Your Company.
- Complete an accurate opportunity postings (e.g. employment, internships, events). This is important for employment qualifications, as students are trained to complete their Handshake profile to best showcase relevant candidate populations.

The College of Engineering and Computer Science (ECS) is hosting an evening Career & Internship Fair open to students primarily from the following four departments: Biomedical and Chemical Engineering, Civil and Environmental Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering and Computer Science, and Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering. However, the Fair is open to all Syracuse University students and alumni.
There is NO cost to employers to attend the Fair. Your free registration provides you with the following:

As part of the career development experience for our undergraduate students (sophomores and juniors only) from any school/college across campus, we provide a discovery immersive program in which we bring about 18-20 students to designated geographic locations to engage with and visit a handful of companies to learn about different industries, career paths, and life in that specific area. Students must apply with an internally established vetting process.
For this upcoming Spring, we will be visiting the DC metro area (March 9-14) AND Boston (March 9-12) simultaneously during Spring Break (March 9-14, 2025). If any employers are interested in hosting (usually a 1-2 hour visit) or being involved, such as a panel should reach out. We would welcome a chat to share further details and see what may be possible. Please note we also have a networking reception one night during our time in the respective cities.

How it Works:

- 15-minute 1:1 meetings with students. Each recruiter can set their own schedule, with the option of setting qualifications students must meet to attend.
- Employers will be able to see student’s Handshake profiles and public resumes, as well as messages students to engage with them at the fair.
- Both students and employers will have access to video, audio, and text-based chat during these meetings, enabling the personal connection of in-person fairs in a virtual setting.
