Employer Handshake Accounts
- If you do not have an existing account, please create an Employer Handshake account by following the Accessing Handshake (Employers) instructions.
- Ensure all employer account requirements are completed.
- Request approval with Syracuse University.
- Employers will receive a Handshake notification once approved.
Requirements
- Account information is accurate (e.g. email domain must match company website domain).
- Must reflect connection to Syracuse University majors, schools, colleges and accreditation. Details are available on the Find a Program webpage.
- Must not be a duplicate Employer account. If your company has multiple locations, departments or divisions, please use a single profile whenever possible. For more support, see How to Add Divisions to Your Company.
- Complete an accurate opportunity postings (e.g. employment, internships, events). This is important for employment qualifications, as students are trained to complete their Handshake profile to best showcase relevant candidate populations.

Fall 2025 Career Fair: College of Engineering and Computer Science, School of Information Studies, and School of Architecture
You will engage with strong undergraduate and graduate students primarily from SU’s College of Engineering and Computer Science, the School of Information Studies, and the School of Architecture. However, the Fair is open to all SU students and alumni.
The following areas of study are the primary focus of the event:
- Biomedical and Chemical Engineering, Civil and Environmental Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering and Computer Science, and Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering students.
- Data Science and Analytics, Information Management and Security, Project Management, Management and Technical Consulting, UX/UI Design.
- Students complete a professional Architecture degree, incorporating a combination of design creativity, architectural insight and an analytical mindset.

This specialized event is tailored exclusively for the communications industry, providing a unique platform for employers to engage with talented students, particularly from the renowned Newhouse School and students across Syracuse University campus interested in communications.

How it Works:
- Interact with students in small group sessions or 1:1’s all from your browser or Handshake’s mobile app.
- Employers will be able to schedule the following during the virtual career fair:
- Group meetings that accommodate up to 50 students each. Multiple recruiters can attend, talk with students, and share their screen.
- 15-minute 1:1 meetings with students. Each recruiter can set their own schedule, with the option of setting qualifications students must meet to attend.
- Employers will be able to see student’s Handshake profiles and public resumes, as well as messages students to engage with them at the fair.
- Both students and employers will have access to video, audio, and text-based chat during these meetings, enabling the personal connection of in-person fairs in a virtual setting.
